Looking back to 'Emergency' by Patrick Martinez
Was looking back over my BTS archive shots and remembered how exciting it was to work on this neon piece, entitled 'Emergency' by Patrick Martinez. Neon glass is such a difficult medium to get right and work with, let alone ship to collectors in one piece and install etc!
It is such a striking piece which had a powerful & deep rooted message tied to the atrocities against black US civilians which the world witnessed during 2020, whilst optomistically looking to what could 'emerge' from these trying times.
Patrick was one of the nicest guys I've worked with too. A pleasure to be involved in such an important work!
Hey 👋 @ben its Zaq! My email is qthemusic310@gmail.com i couldn't figure out how to message you on here. I wanted to say thank you so much for not only educating me about framing but actually taking it upon yourself to have my piece framed! I look forward to chatting with you over email in the coming weeks 💯

Thanks for sharing your story on Patrick. I personally love neon works and I currently have one in my space from André Saraiva. Hope to see AA make more neons this year or in the near future.

Fun fact - at least 2 collectors thought you had to display it in the metal box, as it looks so good in it! Neon such a hard medium to shoot and get good images btw. B
