LY & LUV OVER THE YEARS
I took a little trip down memory lane today and it was so interesting seeing LY’s work develop over the years. From the first sculpture in 2015 to the one launching soon — LUV seems to have evolved. (I even found a LY horse!) In 2016 LY started exploring tondo’s and LUV’s shape & colour slowly became more defined and consistent. I also noticed use of the artist’s signature greyscale colour palette became really strong through experimenting with saturation, contrast and darker & lighter surroundings over the years.
Would love to see some of your favourite LY works from way back in the day! ✨

And you forget the first one sculpture of luv, because before the big black character with the white eyes, Luv was a creature with no arms and no eyes.

Very cool to see the progression! Thanks for sharing @acc_20GZEmf5O4RTZeAloXm0HyYxksH! @acc_23VJHk4GXn7MCJOk6xD6JcyPRUN I recently saw the Bearbrick too, any idea if it is a one off or if a larger edition size was released?

Thanks @acc_20GZEmf5O4RTZeAloXm0HyYxksH for sharing! Yes the evolution of Luv can really be seen through the selection of works you've featured! I also agree, I like that she goes beyond to add her touch to other mediums such as the horse. I've also seen hand painted bearbrick from her which look great! And that sculpture you shared would look so cool next to the upcoming confused Luv sculp!! ❤️

Love seeing this little LY bear, though nothing will beat the horse for me! Hoping someone will have both sculptures and can see them side by side 🤞

@acc_20GZEmf5O4RTZeAloXm0HyYxksH It's cool to see how the earlier ones had that spirited away vibes with its slender figure! Is the last photo a LUV cookie? 🍪😋
