The excitement is building for our timed release with Tomás Sánchez tomorrow!
On the production side, we’ve partnered with an amazing fine art print specialist in Berlin, D’mage. Their sustainability initiatives are seriously impressive, a nice link to Sánchez’s own commitment to bringing awareness to globalisation’s effect on the natural world.
I’ve always thought that Sánchez’s landscapes are both beautifully serene and also an unsettling reflection of the paradise that could have been.
D’mage work with some of the most environmentally-friendly paper mills, they also only use energy for manufacturing from 100% renewable sources and donate generously to environmental and animal welfare organisations.
This edition will be printed on a Hahnemühle paper, made by a local German paper manufacturer who are on course to become the first climate-neutral paper mill by 2030. All Hahnemühle papers are completely free of chemicals or environmentally harmful substances - apparently you can even eat them! (I won’t be trying that myself). The edition will be printed using chemical-free inks, made only with water and natural pigments, and the format has been chosen to ensure the least amount of wastage possible.
