Ceramic care for BIAS II 🧽
This week we released BIAS II, our new ceramic sculpture with Roby Dwi Antono. It feels very special to be working with Roby in a new medium. Ceramic firing is always a risky process so each edition is the end result of a complex production method. During the firing process the piece can crack or even explode. The bigger the piece, the bigger the risk. It took over 300 tries just to create these 75 editions!
So how can you best care for BIAS II? Ceramic is delicate but resistant to light heat and cold. Ceramic is sensitive to corrosive materials so you should never use cleaning products. Don't get tempted into using that window cleaner! Just a micro fibre cloth and clean water does the trick. ✨
