Jen Stark's latest sculpture launched this week. For the first time Jen's work is being translated in to glass. If you've read our latest post on how the edition is made then you'll know it's a very labour intensive process. (https://collective.avantarte.com/posts/post_2GIrUoHPJgq0V4mx1xhJKxsEzZI/)
So how can you make sure to look after the edition well? With glass you might be tempted to use window cleaner. You should not do this unless it's a non-corrosive window cleaner. Most window cleaners have ammonia in them which might not be a problem for you regular glass windows but are too corrosive for glass sculpture.
If you're unsure if you window cleaner is non-corrosive try use clean water instead. Wiping a sculpture down with a clean lint free towel or cloth will work wonders as well! 🧽
